1) A five digit number is represented by ABCDE. If we add the number 1 in front of ABCDE, then times 3, the result number will be ABCDE appended by the number 1 (as shown in the figure). What is this five digit number?

2) Find the value of A and C to make the following equation. A and C are single digit numbers.

A market researcher knocks on a door and enquires about the children and their ages in the family. The woman who answered the door informed him that she has three children and the product of their age is 36. She also gave an additional clue that the sum of their ages is the same as their neighbors house number. The market researcher goes to the next house, checks on the house no, comes back to this woman and tells her that she hasnt given enough information. Apologetically, the woman tells him sorry and says that her elder daughter is sleeping on the first floor of her house. What are the ages of the three children?
