A merchanting guide which doesn’t tell you items to merchant but actually explains tips and tricks to make you merchant more efficiently, like typing, clicking, trading, supply and demand, Judging competition, and more! This guide is not like others and uses a new, and much better approach!
Supply and demand is the most main factor that depends on which item to merchant. You should know (some at least) what items are being produced more than needed, and what items are being produced less than needed. Also keep in mind that things that people rarely buy (or a 1 time buy) (ex. full Saradomin or Zamorak) may not always be good merchanting items. A lot of merchanting comes from when you come across a person selling something at a low price, because he/she wants to get rid of it fast, so this guide will be mainly explaining tips and tricks while merchanting.
With the new update (req assist) it is slightly harder to trade people as fast as it used to be, so practicing this is a good skill. BIG TIP #1: when people talk a lot, they appear “on top†of the other people that are on the same grid point as they are. So if you don’t see people talking at an area, and someone randomly talks, they most probably will be on the top most of the “stack†of people (when you right click them). Another thing is that when people walk/run up to a new area and talk a lot, they are ALWAYS on top of the others. People do this when they want to get rid/sell fast an item. This is by far the most important skill that a merchanter MUST master.
This is another big issue that people have problems with. You don’t want to make the buying price too low or too high, otherwise no one will trade with you or you will not make any money. You also don’t want the selling price to be too low or too high, otherwise you will barely make money, or no one will trade with you. There is a rule of thumb, if you are ever in doubt. BIG TIP #2: the buying price should be 10% less than the price of the item (at “normal cost†(will be explained later)) and the selling price should be 5% more than the price of the item (at “normal costâ€). For example, If the “normal price†of full rune is 200k, then you should buy at 180k and sell at 210k. However, this is just the rule of thumb, and can DRASTICALLY change when there is too much/too little competition.

Cataclysm has brought a ton of changes to the old Azeroth, including a few new Alliance leveling spots. And I’m not talking here about places where you can or should just kill some mobs as an Alliance player, I’m talking about brand new camps, that didn’t exist before the release of the expansion.
I’m going to focus here especially on the new camps in Kalimdor because before Cataclysm, this continent wasn’t exactly the best place to level up for Alliance players due to a higher concentration of Horde zones and camps. Nowadays, most of the zones here also have brand new Alliance leveling spots with plenty of quests, and here are a few that you shouldn’t miss.
Fort Triumph, Southern Barrens. As you probably know it, The Barrens was a Horde territory before Cataclysm, but after that, it was split in two zones, Northern Barrens and Southern Barrens. The northern part is still pretty much a Horde zone, but the Southern Barrens is quite balanced now. Fort Triumph is one of the main Alliance camps here. Its location is (49,68). You’ll find an innkeeper and a flight master here, and quite many quests to go through. Therefore, this is one of the Alliance leveling spots that you should put into your leveling path.
Tower of Estulan, Feralas. Back in the day, before Cataclysm, Feralas was quite a harsh zone to choose as leveling destination for Alliance. You had to travel on foot for long distances and the only camps were Thalanaar and Feathermoon, on the eastern and western points of the zone. Now there are plenty of other Alliance camps in Feralas, like Shadebough, Dreamer’s Rest or Tower of Estulan, and quite a few new flight masters, which makes it a viable zone for leveling. The most important camp is obviously, Tower of Estulan because it’s placed in the middle of the zone, at (57,55). Having this travel point unlocked, you will benefit from almost equal access to the other parts of the zone, and therefore keep a higher XP rate.
Kranum’s Glade, Desolace. This is a neutral camp, but it wasn’t here before Cataclysm, so I should mention it in this post. It is one of the main quest hubs of Desolace, also placed in the middle of the zones. Even if Horde players can quest here, you can still consider it as one of the Alliance leveling spots. So, if you’re going to choose Desolace as your leveling destination, Kranum’s Glade most definitely has to be in your leveling path, because there are many quests here. Plus, you will also get Cenarion Circle reputation by completing quests here, which you might find useful later on.
Anyway, to make sure you don’t miss any of the most important Alliance leveling spots, and level up as fast as possible, the best solution is to work with an Alliance leveling guide

WoW route of cartoonifying everythingLooks impressive but looking at this brings up one question. There is always an evil dude who wants to conquer and reign the world… once he did that, I mean once he acccomplishes that… WHAT KIND OF life will he and his minions live? What is the purpose?
To me it always seems like the sole purpose of his existence is “being evil and taking over the world just to be evil and take over the world”
hmmm,weird thought I know…but maybe I’m just getting too old for this :S #23 3 months ago
Comment below viewing threshold Its a nice cinematic, but its the gameplay vids that have me worried. I recently decided to have another bash through Diablo 2 and the difference in tone between the two games is astounding. D2 seems so much darker, more foreboding in mood than the gameplay vids of D3 that I have seen.
D3 seems to be going down the WoW route of cartoonifying everything, and IMO, it just doesnt fit the Diablo template. I dont really want to go through a dungeon crawler with a character from WoW
was anyone else curious about his nipple rings? i mean, who put them in? what purpose do they serve? does he hang baubles from them at christmas, or tie his shopping bags to them or something? they pose more questions than they give answers!

it appears as if blizzard has updated the official death knight page on the wrath of the lich king website. the major changes are to the death knight’s talent trees. there’s no longer a heavy focus on tanking in one specific tree; instead, each tree will be capable of offering a different flavor of dps capability as well as tanking ability. this seems like an excellent decision on blizzard’s part, as it means that for one of the first times ever, players truly are capable of choosing whichever talent spec they prefer, and are still able to perform each role their class is designed for. is this a hint at the future for world of warcraft’s other classes? it’s hard to say, as wrath of the lich king is still in very early alpha, but the changes to the death knight talents are definitely a step in the right direction. here’s what the old page said: and the new description for each tree: blood: talents in this tree focus on weapons, armor, and strikes. frost: talents in this tree focus on control, counters, and combos. unholy: talents in this tree focus on spells, summons, and diseases. as you can see, none of them really mention a specific role — each offers its own flavor on playing the class instead — allowing the player to both tank and dish out dps effectively, regardless of their talent spec. what are your thoughts on this new direction with the class?
