Almost six days passed in the name of Bharat Suraksha Yatra. Have they seen any a-suraksha throughout the yatra. Ofcourse the road-users feel a-suraksha by these political manupulators.

    POACHING CONVICTION

It is rather strange to find that an Indian court managed to pass a severe conviction on a popular actor. Whether Salman Khan completes the five year jail term or gets out early via political scheming is another issue all together. In this context, one wonders what happened to a similar poaching charge against Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi, the former Indian cricket captain. Did Pataudi managed to scheme the police and the judiciary to drop the charge against him? Nothing is seen or heard in the media about the Pataudi case.

congress has forgotten it’s moolmantra which brought it in to power
it was “raghupati raghav raja ram patit pawan sita ram”

  4. Radhika says

“In my entire political career I have never seen a government, where the prime minister is not on the driver’s seat. The PM’s role is trying to press the accelerator while Sonia Gandhi drives.”

I really wonder if it matters who runs the country… as long as we are making progess!! Mr Advani, can we please come out of this petty politics and let people do their work!!! And as for Yatra’s……I bet there are more productive issues to be handled than taking out yatra’s.

I think shree ram can be better role model for a king as compared to
thieves, dacoits and corrupted people who have been ruling this
    country for a long time

Pity and shitty it is that the erstwhile Dy. P M of our country believes that by changing the name of his last yatra his party may not have lost the lost(last election). Shameful it is that rather than take up valid issues in the right forum (parliament) recource is being sought vide taking rath yatras. Taking out roti yatra would have been more appropriate in a developing nation like ours wherein millions do not have means to get two proper meals a day.

  7. jayapal Venugopal says

Really a good work by rediff. Keep going full coverage of the yatra. which is a must in the present scenario, in india and world.

  8. Parminder Jass says

BJP is not thinking or doing anything for the public, in parliament tainted minister, volcker commitie, yaar raise voice for the people of India who are suffering. Now this yatra what is this yaar, spending crore of rupees in securirty. My simple question is what BJP has done for the common man? We have never heard they are giving dharna for raise in LPG, and other prices. Volcker ke liye darna denge all self centeredness. It is really pathetic that opposition in India is do weak.

  9. vasuprasad says

BJP is at crossroads.BJP and advani doesnt know anything else other than yathra’s .Why dont they think it is just a temporary patch up work that can happen if they succeed in making these yathras. It is shamefull that they can not grow up leavin the ageold yathras behind and why dont they come out with what they expect from these yathras and lo we shall give them without making these painful journey’s happen both to themselves and they residents of the places where they are going.

  10. Dr.Rajendra Nayak says

I donot understand why the hell we should waste our time in religious bigotry. This is for each and every believer in race, caste and religion. I am a member of Indian Rationalist Society. Why should people suffer on the road due to religious/marriage processions. Every day there is one or the other sect blocking the traffic at peak hours in a city or town throughout the length and breadth of India. The emergency cases cannot be taken to hospital because all the arterial roads are blocked. If anybody wants to take out a procession or celebrate his or her festival let them do inside a stadium or a community hall inside the city with parking facility and it should never disturb others. ALL THE POLITICIANS SHOULD THINK OF THIS SERIOUSLY. If the cities are congested take this community hall with 20K to 40 K capacity outside the city about 100 km away. This is the best solution and religion and all celebrations like marriage should be inside the four walls and not on public roads.

It is dull and drab affair with no scintillating story with the punch of investigative depth cutting through. Maybe some news has tobelike that.

  12. Krishnakanth says

Couldn’t agree with you more. We don’t see the crowds because, people just got used to the bomb blasts etc. and don’t care about it much. National Security doesn’t mean a lot to the young generation and I can’t blame them because everybody is making a decent career due to the wealth being generated right now.

The Old Man Advani realizes that the Nation’s Future and Culture is at stake, a honest man he is, he is trying his bit to prevent a catastrophe of another Christian/Muslim Majority Country in happening as is the case with the rest of the world. We need a honest press and media to make people aware of the issues, but alas, it’s another area that hasn’t escaped corruption and hence all the yellow journalists. Rath yatra is a nice way to reach to the people, but do people have time and do they share the concern? I wonder!

  13. awanish rajan says

this yatra can be a greeat opportunity for Mr. Advani to inform the people about the policies of the UPA government whic are dangerous to the future prospects of india like the reservations and i think he shld also inform the people how these congress men are trying to divide the society on micro basis for their own vote bank which they have learnt from the britishers the ‘Divide and rule’ policy.

  14. ashish says

i would like to ask mr advani what there yatra is for - survival of bjp or most important his own survival in his party and if they are so concern about yatra why in bullet proof van. if they are trying to be mahatma gandhi so try to walk with common man not talking from his bullet proof.

  15. RamChandra says

Let us all ask ourselves as Indians ! How many times do we have to fall for this religious crap. Let these hindu and muslim fanatics remain hungry or work for an honest day’s work. Then we all can ask them as to what is there on their mind. It is we middle class indians who sit comfortably in our homes and let this nonsense flourish. Only when we stop teaching hatred in our homes(all communities) , then can we prosper as a nation. Else we will be an image of our hateful past.

  16. Name says

It’s ridiculous what lengths the BJP will go to to push it’s interests. A propaganda website!!! I mean, come on!

  17. ss says

try for ram rajya where every body is happy

  18. sanjay says

it will be better for bjp if they do not abondan ram this time

  19. monajk@rediffmail.com says

Very curious to know how the Yatra develops after all. Some one from Orissa also please write in to let us know things go by as they happen at the ground over there.

  20. PJ_Singh says

Good effort by Advani and Rediff. We need to open our eyes against religious fundamentalism whether muslim or any other. Rediff does well in covering all the bases unlike other media who just cry gujarat, gujarat and whitewashes other atrocities under the sun. BJP should do more in exposing the true nature of ‘84 Sikh murderers i.e. Congress (I_talian)who are nothing but power hungry low lifes.

  21. Cardinal says

When was the last time I really felt that Advani was doing something worth while? Well, I dont even remember.
Why dont BJP put up with plans to create food programs? Why dont they try to help this government?
When I can think of somany ways to contributing to my society and My India. Why can’t these elected representatives do something worthwhile with the power given to them. I know you do oppose many unwanted bills.
India will not be any better by taking yatra and spend crores of rupees on security and other BS. Do something to the upliftment of poor. I very well know Mr.Advani knows about all those programs. Come down to earth and live with the indians Sir.
There are somany who are trying to make india better. Dont sow the wrong seeds now. I have with my own eyes seen how my friends start getting antiother religions sentiments. I got to understand the poison when my closest friend showed his antimuslim face just as we were talking about the yatra plans.

  22. Ronit Gunajee says

    Dear Mr Advani,

We have had a couple of peaceful years since 2003. It is time that the Indian public should be woken from its comfort. According to you we need a little mayhem every few years in the country. That is how you intend to come to power. Without any real agenda but the religious overtone to everything. I hope every state behaves like orissa did. I hope every state send you packing home from your wicked yatra. We as hindus do not need BJP’s protections. 5000 years of cultural legacy cannot be wiped out. I hope you and your stooges understand that.

  23. Murthy says

    Dear Advani,

I am an ardent Hindu fanatic, but i fail to undrstand the reason and timing of yatra. It would be better to concentrate on people’s plight and poverty.BJP assumes that they are force to reckon in A.P and trying to divide an united state. Please don’t stoop so low in politics to have blood on u r hand .Try to respect majority feeling and ignore useless politicians like K.Chandrasekhar Rao who wants to waile away their time at the feet of Sonia(A foreign lady who decide the fate of 7 Crore Telugu people).

  24. asad iqbal says

REDIFF has always been my favourite portal. BUT now i am bound to accept that it is biased in favor of the opposition party at the centre and its allies. One just has to view the site and see what i mean. I guess its now back to YAHOO:’(
