Rockstar Junaid speaks to his fans!
A big hi to all of you! This is Junaid Sheikh from Pakistan and I want to thank all of you for showering me with your blessings. Thank you for all your wishes on Orkut, Rediff and your SMSes. I want to thank each and every one of you who have voted for me and helped me come in the final 12 of this "Vishawayudh" and for those who didn't would try my level best to improve my performance in the near future. I might not be able to reply to each one of you but I want all of you to know that without your support I wouldn't have been able to survive.
Singing is my first love and I live to sing. In Karachi I was working as an Engg. But my heart was in singing. Performing in front of the audience gives me a high and this is what I want to do all my life.
I had a great time while shooting for the Salman Bhai's Episode. Mine was the last performance and everyone had performed so well that I didn't know whether ill be able to leave a mark. I just gave it my best shot and luckily Salman Bhai loved the performance and he came on stage to dance with me. I was ecstatic. He is a great inspiration for me. I started working out after getting inspired by him, though I know I have a long way to go J
Last but not the least please keep praying for me that I continue giving such performances in future!
Thnx..luv u all..tC!! mwahaazZz!!

23rd of July was a very special day for the Saregamapa Team as it was Himesh Reshammiya's Birthday. The team made sure that it becomes a memorable day for their favorite mentor Himesh, and everyone showered him with blessings and gifts as he cut his birthday cake. Good friend and fellow mentor Ismail Darbar prayed for his success for the forthcoming year. Says Himesh "the best birthday gift that I have got is that my movie is a huge success and its all thanks to my fans and my mom's good wishes". Thank you everyone.

Salman khan who gave Himesh Reshammiya his first break in "Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya" made his dislike for Himesh very apparent when he came face to face with the singer turned actor on the sets of Saregamapa Challenge 2007.He constantly made digs at friend turned foe Himesh Reshammiya by requesting Himesh's student Joy Chakraborty " Tum Naak Se Mat Gaana".He even suggested Joy that he should hold the mike like Himesh.Himesh however took the sarcastic comments by his stride and kept praising Salman but salman being salman left no stone unturned to make fun of Himesh. He even went to the extent of telling Nirupama that "aap Himesh ke gharane se ho, phir toh sur ko bhool jhao". A visibly miffed Himesh kept quiet after that. During the last performance by Junaid Sheikh, everyone was so impressed by Junaid that they went on stage along with Salman to shake a leg. However himesh was the only one who left abruptly.

Everybody thinks Anik Dhar (the Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma Pa winner) is a shy, Bengali guy but this time on the sets of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 (Famous Studio) he was continuously flirting non-stop with Dia Mirza. He khullam-khulla proposed Dia Mirza saying, “I love you Dia, do you love me?” standing on the stage after he sang Jaane kya chakhe man bawra from Pyar ke side effects.
The sets went on a stand-still for few seconds and then Dia said “I love you too…paused…but only for your singing my boy.” Anik was very upset to hear this and sang a sad song to express his feeling “Tadap tadap ke is dil se aah nikalti rahee” from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.”
Great going Aneek…keep the spirit high!

Hello friends,
First of all a big thanks to all of you for showering me with your love. If it had not been for your support, I wouldn't have been here. I would like to share this incident of my life which proved to be a blessing in disguise. I was participating in a Mimicry competition in my college festival at P.D Lions College. Somehow the lists got exchanged and they put me in the singing competition instead. I was cursing my luck but to my surprise I actually won the competition! That's when I realized that I could even sing! From that incident onwards there has been no looking back and now I am here, participating in Zee TV's Saregamapa Challenge 2007, one of the biggest platforms for aspiring singers. I would just like to say to everyone "believe in yourself and others will believe in you" and yes "whatever happens happens for the best". So never lose hope and keep trying. Thank you once again.

Himesh Reshammiya will very soon be labelled the proxy king by his fellow Mentors. The Mentor of the Rock Gharana is becoming infamous because of his habit of playing truant and making other people give his proxy.
Also he upsets the participants and other mentors when he made the host Aditya as his proxy. Earlier he had made Shekhar as his proxy which was still acceptable but the participants didn’t like the fact that they had to get feedback from someone as inexperienced as Aditya, nor did it go down well with the other mentors, who objected to being a co- judge with Aditya Narayan.

Mauli Dave, after stealing millions of hearts with her first performance "Mayya Mayya" in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 has managed to bowl over the judges yet again. So Much so that her mentor Bappi Da compared her to none other than the Latino sensation Shakira… Mauli gave a rocking performance and lent a certain western touch and style to the song "Que Sera Sera Sera" from the movie Pukar. Her mentor Bappi Da was so impressed with her that he said "Mauli, you will be the Shakira of India and I will prove it". Will Mauli actually be India's answer to Shakira? We will have to wait and watch.

It was a honor to be the only person from USA to be selected in Saregamapa auditions when Bappida came calling. My family decided to travel with me to India and my parents are staying with me in Mumbai to encourage me. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is a very popular show in US and I knew that it will give me a great platform to perform in front of so many people . I just hoped that I will be able to do well in the show and fulfill the expectations of my family.
When I boarded on the plane to India in US to participate in Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa , never in my wildest dreams did I think that I will garner so much attention .After I sang the "Mayya Mayya" " song from the movie Guru in the first episode , it is heartening to see so many people appreciating me after seeing the programme in the website and in the blog. Ever since my first performance in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007, there have been a lot of expectations from me and I am striving hard to match those expectations from all of you. It becomes rather hard once the expectations rise as there is a lot of pressure on you emotionally . I have been trying my best to give a similar performance but I am not perfect as so many of my fans think . Bappida is helping me to polish my skills and I am still learning from Bappida and other mentors.
Bappi Da as everyone fondly calls him is one of the nicest human beings I have ever met in my life. I am working very hard for the upcoming episodes and Bappi Da is making sure that he is helping me in every possible way. I was really touched when he invited me over to his house for dinner and made me perform in front of huge personalities like Jeetendra Ji, Rakesh Roshan Ji, Rishi Kapoor Ji and Neetu Ji. It was a honor to perform in front of so many great personalities. It was a great experience to be introduced to so many well known people from the industry and along with these expectations are also rising. My ultimate dream is to sing for the A R Rahman one day.
I just want to maintain the support of my fans and I would definitely do well with their support and appreciation. The audience is my pillar of strength and without them I am incomplete. I check my blogs and messages regularly and I may not be able to reply to each and every comment but I would like to tell everyone that it is heartening to go through your comments and appreciation mails in the blog.
A big thanks and that I love all of you!!

On Ashaji’s last day of shoot, little did she expect the chaos that occurred on the sets. Sarika Singh from Indore MP, a member of Vishal and Shekhar’s gharana was asked to sing in the episode. She sang the song ‘bhaage re mann’ from the film Chameli, originally sung by Sunidhi Chauhan. The rendition was well liked by all the mentors. Though she did lack confidence somewhere and was a little nervous initially, the rendition was beautiful and flawless. Watch Sarika’s performance here
So when the results were announced, the audience and the judges alike, expected her to get a ‘farmaan’ from Ashaji. To their utter dismay and Sarika’s subsequent horror, her name was announced in the list of eliminated contestants. So much was the shock that the 25 year old Azamgarh resident, who is well versed with vaastu shastra and is a certified palm reader, fainted on the spot. She had to be rushed to the hospital where she was declared out of danger but under supervision.

It has been a great and enriching experience in India participating in Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge . As I said in my initial round "being selected for this talent hunt is an honour in itself “. I have been equally lucky to get Himesh Ji as my mentor .Himesh Ji is not only a great musician but also a good human being and I hold him in high regards. Himesh Ji always talks to the point and doesn't mind calling a spade a spade hence it doesn't go down well with some people. For me Himesh Ji is not only my mentor but also my philosopher and guide and it was a difficult situation for me when Himesh Ji and Asha Ji argued about my song. All Singers in India and Pakistan love Himesh Ji and Asha Ji and no body would have liked to be in my shoes at that time.
Never did I think in my dreams that I would be the cause of arguments between Himesh Ji and Asha Ji, , two people I admire and love so much. When I chose the song I just wanted to prove to Asha Ji that I could sing other genre's as well. In Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa the competition is so tough and the standards are so high and even a small mistake could have costed me my place in the competition and when I told Himesh Ji that I wanted to sing that song, he was little skeptical thinking that I might be voted out if I make any mistake. When this whole controversy started I was sandwiched between our Mahaguru Asha Ji and my mentor Himesh Ji .Luckily, Asha Ji still asked me to go ahead and sing another song. I sang Mohammed Rafi Ji's Song "Gulabi Aankhen Jo Teri Dekhi" and everybody including Asha Ji and Himesh Ji loved my singing. I was glad that I was able to do justice to the song and was selected by our Mahaguru, Asha Ji, for the next round. I hope that in the next round I will be able to perform equally well and exceed all the expectations of Himesh Ji and Asha Ji.
I used to be a Music Director in Pakistan after completing my masters in Music. The journey from there till Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has been long but fulfilling. Participating in Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and that too in India is like a dream coming true for me since many of the stars like Shreya Ghoshal and Kunal Ganjawala came to limelight through this programme. I hope viewers all over the world will appreciate the contestants on the basis of their performance and talent. There can't be a singer without an audience and its them who make or break a singer. I don't think I could have got a better platform than Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. I would like to thank my judges, my mentors, other participants and of course my audience for showering their love and affection on me. The audience has been very kind to me till now, and Inshallah I will try my level best to better myself even further.
I would like to give all of you my Salaam and request you to pray for my career.
I love all of you a lot.
