International singers relish Mumbai Vada Pav

Participants from various parts of the world are discovering rich and multiple tastes of India on their stay in Mumbai for the shooting of Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2007.Wassi Effendi , Junaid Sheikh and Amanat Ali , participants of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa challenge 2007 tasted the Vada Pav in aamchi Mumbai in an outing and the taste still lingered in their mouth when they came back for shooting . Next time around when they were offered snacks during the shooting break, they refused to have anything else but the "band aloo" . We could not figure out what was band aloo initially but the detailed descriptions by three of them pointed out that dish would be nothing other than Vada Pav of aamchi Mumbai . We had no option but to arrange for Vada Pav which they ate to their hearts content.

"I have found the girl of my dreams" ' says Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 host Aditya Narayan





Aditya Narayan , the cute and charming host from Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 is already a rage amongst the girls. Having trained in "Contemporary English Music" from London, Aditya is enthralling the viewer's not only with his voice but also with his charming good looks. And the young gun has found another admirer in none other than the legendary Asha Bhosale. Asha Ji who is the current judge of the show was so impressed with Aditya that she dedicated a Nepali song to Aditya since he is half nepali. The song's lyrics conveyed a message that the person in question is very good-looking. This took Aditya on a completely different plane altogether. Not able to mask his ecstasy at being admired by the one person he had always worshipped, a slightly embarrassed and extremely elated Aditya then exclaimed to Asha Ji that he doesn't need any other girl in his life since he had already got the girl of his dreams to compliment him!!

Pakistani singer Mussarat is sandwiched between Judge Asha Bhosle & Himesh Reshamiyya

Himesh Reshamiyya makes Pakistani singer Mussarat from his "gharana" sing a song by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Vishal (from Vishal and Shekhar) takes objection and asks Mussarat to sing any other genre, other than Rahet Fateh Ali Khan. However, Himmesh puts his foot down and says that his student will sing only according to his instruction. This infuriates Asha Ji and she asks Mussarrat to sing another song. The poor boy is sandwiched between the two people! Asha Ji then taunts Himmesh saying he does not have time for his students and hence he is unable to teach them different singing styles. The poor boy got so scared that he refused to continue in the competition any further!!!

Mauli Dave, enthralls judges as well as the audience

 Mauli Dave ,  the youngster from Texas, USA became the darling of the nation when she sang the "Mayya Mayya" song from the movie Guru in the first episode of Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2007.

Mauli received appreciation from all the mentors who called her a complete singer as well as a performer. Bappi Da and Ismail Ji especially went on stage to congratulate her which made her almost choke with emotion. Mauli was immediately taken in the Josh gharana whose mentor is Bappi Da. Although she hails from Houston, USA this 19 year old claims to be an Indian at heart. She looks up to A.R Rehman for inspiration and hopes to sing for the musical genius one day.




Will Mauli be able to live up to the expectations of the audience as well as the mentors?

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2007 has transgressed geographical boundaries and moved on to a global level. Be ready to hear participants from Asia, Africa, America,Europe and Pakistan.The 32 contestants selected from across the four continents and six countries, will compete with each other under the guidance of the four mentors. Himmesh Reshammiya, Ismail Darbar, Vishal & Shekhar and Bappi Lahiri and with a new host Aditya Narayan.

Zee TV has started Sa Re Ga Ma Pa CHALLENGE 2007 on May 4th .

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 is even bigger this year as participants from Pakistan , Dubai , Singapore , Australia, U S and India lock horns with each other. Through the years Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge has become a unique platform for all the talented and aspiring singers to become the singing sensations of tomorrow. The singers who came through Sa Re Ga Ma Pa include Shreya Ghoshal ,Sneha Pant , Kunal Ganjawala and Avdhoot Gupte.


Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge is an ideal platform for everyone who regard Mohammad Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhonsle, Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan etc as their idols and would like to follow in their footsteps to showcase the talent.
